ECDC ’s Data Protection Officer ensures that the provisions of both the Regulation and and the implementing decisions at the Centre are applied and advises controllers on fulfilling their obligations (see art. 24 of the Regulation and art. 3 and 4 of the Decision of 23 September 2008).De functionaris voor gegevensbescherming van het ECDC waarborgt dat de bepalingen van de Verordening en de uitvoeringsbesluiten van het Centrum correct worden toegepast en geeft de verantwoordelijken voor de gegevensverwerking advies over het nakomen van hun verplichtingen (zie artikel 24 van de Verordening en artikelen 3 en 4 van het Besluit van 23 september 2008).
All processing operations of personal data are duly notified to ECDC's Data Protection Officer and, if the case arises, to the European Data Protection Supervisor.Alle verwerkingen van persoonsgegevens worden naar behoren gemeld aan de functionaris voor gegevensbescherming van het ECDC en, in voorkomende gevallen, aan de Europese Toezichthouder voor gegevensbescherming.
