ECDC aims to offer support to existing FETP and to initiatives from MS to develop such programmes.Het ECDC wil ondersteuning bieden aan bestaande opleidingsprogramma’s en aan initiatieven van de lidstaten om dergelijke programma's te ontwikkelen.
Initiatives can either focus on improving existing medical problems or preventative education (e.g. prevent people from acquiring various diseases or guide them on how to live with a disease), in any combination of planned learning activities.Initiatieven kunnen gericht zijn op verbetering van bestaande medische problemen of op preventieve voorlichting (bv. voorkomen dat mensen bepaalde ziekten oplopen of mensen helpen om met een ziekte te leven), in elke gewenste combinatie van geplande leeractiviteiten.
ECDC and WHO Euro also work together on influenza surveillance, and have partnered on numerous training and capacity building initiatives.Het ECDC en het WHO/EURO werken ook samen op het gebied van griepsurveillance. Ze zijn partners bij talrijke initiatieven voor opleiding en capaciteitsuitbreiding.
